She was predeceased by: her husband Plezzie Lee Vernon; and her son Barry Vernon. She is survived by: her children, Greg Vernon (Debra), Janice Vernon Gwyn (Kenneth) and Joy "Neenie" Johnson; and her daughter-in-law Kathy Vernon. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
