We are sad to announce that on December 9, 2020, at the age of 81, Peggy Lawrence Upchurch Butler (Madison, North Carolina), born in Henry, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Reverend Robert Talmage "R. T."; her stepmother Margaret Dalton Lawrence; and her husbands, Wayne Eugene Upchurch and Woodrow Butler. She is survived by: her children, Doug Upchurch, Tammy Williams, Robert Upchurch and Tootie Brooks; and her siblings, Gerald Lawrence (Marie), Michael Lawrence (June), Frances Ann Keyes (David) and Deborah Gurganus (Ronnie). She is also survived by six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
