It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Burton Collins (Madison, North Carolina), who passed away on March 23, 2019, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William E. "Bill" Collins; her son Thomas W. "Tom" Collins; her sister Gaye Burton; and her niece Catherine Merritt. She is survived by: her daughter Flavel Collins of Madison, NC; her sister Kaye Burton Merritt of Madison, NC; her nephews, William Merritt (Lisa) of Waxhaw, NC and Rev Butler (Catharine) of Sugar Hill, GA; her great-nephews, Jackson Merritt and Trevor Butler; her great-niece Caroline Butler; and her pet Bubba.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC, 27375.
