She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Earl Via and Myrtle Ruth Joyce Via; her husband Melvin Jackson Hopper, Sr.; her daughter Carol Anne Hopper; and her siblings, Lester Via, Jr., Darrell Via and Cindy Lou Via.
She is survived by: her children, Deanna Hopper Sizemore (Bobby), Billie Dean Hopper (Penny) and Melvin "Junebug" Hopper, Jr.; her grandchildren, Dean Sizemore, Chris Sizemore (Allie), Misty Nelson (Dustin), Matthew Hopper, Cole Atkins, Tori Hopper, Chelsea Hopper and Nicholas Brogdon; her close friend Paul Tilley; her sisters, Debbie Chaney (Benny), Patricia Lester (Charlie), Earlene Pugh and Bonnie Cerious; her sister-in-law Inez Via; and her brothers, Larry Via (Christine), Bluford Via (Wendy) and William Via. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
