She was predeceased by: her parents, Judson James and Clarice Drake Edwards; and her husband Gaither Edwin "G. E.". She is survived by: her son Jimmy Briggs (Kathy); her cousins, Ann Edwards, Hattie Ella Nix, Peggy Jean Navey, Pat Crisp, Kathy Matthews, Butch, Steve Drake, Annette Winter and Carl Bennett; and her close friend Gale Metcalf.
