He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi Gaither and Ada Hill Buckner; his former wife Janette Robinson Buckner; his brother Hershel Buckner; and his brother-in-law Floyd Stone.
He is survived by: his wife Clara Fender Buckner; his son Dwayne Buckner (Teresa); his stepchildren, Sherry Fender and Pete Fender; his siblings, Peggy Stone and Sam Buckner (Dinah); his grandchildren, Olivia Buckner Ellis (Wayne), Eli Buckner (Lexi), Zachary, Timothy and Danny Fender; and his great grandchildren, Quinn and Palmer Ellis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
