He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Lipe and Margaret Johnson Lipe; his wife Helen Marie Jenkins Lipe; and his siblings, Herbert and Anna Sue.

He is survived by: his sons, Victor L. Lipe, Vernon L. Lipe, Von L. Lipe (Brenda), Vance L. Lipe (Sally) and Vincent L. Lipe (Kim); and his grandchildren, Dylan, Zachary, Isaac, Sarah Grace, Emma Faith and Carter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
