He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmel Thurman Thompson and Vivian Farmer Thompson; and his sister Dorothy Baker. He is survived by: his wife Pam Soyars Thompson; his children, David Thompson (Lynne), Mike Thompson (Tammy), Tim Landreth (Tonya), Chuck Thompson (Linda), Stephanie Vickers (Brad) and Jay Morton (Lila); and his siblings, James Thompson (Bonnie) and Chris Berenstein. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.
