He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Everett Spear and Mary Elizabeth Culham Spear. He is survived by: his wife Leslie Haswell Spear; his daughter Tara Ellen Spear of Portland, Oregon; and his siblings, Cindy Hinton (David) of Miami, Cathy Haynes (Rick) of Jacksonville, Joseph Spear of Fort Pierce, Florida and Pearl. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans and or a local pet rescue center near you.
