He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace H Basnight Sr. and Marcelene Cahoon Basnight; his sister Gail Creef; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Tillett and Cindy Basnight.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Gard Basnight; his children, Gina Basnight English (Neil), Leah Basnight Wilson (Rodney) and Edwin Basnight (Lisa); his grandchildren, Ethan, Ava-Joy, Eden, Ember, Hunter and Bella; his siblings, Linda Beasley (Robert), Faye Terry (Joe), Ricky Basnight (Crystal), Andy Basnight (Kay) and Tony Basnight (Kelli); his brother-in-law Rocky Creef; and his brother Ronnie Gagnon (Peggy).
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Harbor Light Holiness Church (6547 Old Manns Harbor Rd, Manns Harbor, NC 27953).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Stumpy Point Congregational Holiness Church, or Harbor Light Holiness Church in honor of Louie's dedication of service to The Lord.
