He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Bolton, Sr. and Georgia Franks Bolton; his sister Kitty Bolton; his nephew Adam Pittman; and his niece Mittie Humphrey.
He is survived by: his fiancée Janice McDaniel; his siblings, Martha Pittman (Alvin) of Hubert, Pam Biggs of Casper, WY and Frank Bolton (Valerie) of Pfafftown, NC; his children, Jessica "Red" Smith (Jerry) of Wallace, NC and J. P. Brown (Kristen Parker) of Chinquapin, NC; and his grandchildren, Nathan and Kylie.
