He was predeceased by : his parents, Ben Allison and Marie Gladson Allison; and his brother Frank Allison. He is survived by : his wife Juanita Allison; his sons, Shane Allison (Kristie) and Adam Allison; his granddaughters, Lexie Powell (Adam), Maggie and Madilyn Allison; his siblings, James, Kenneth, Tom Allison, Betty Whitener, Lois Menasion, Helen Bzotte and Sue Ledford; and his niece Leoia "Sissie" Penland. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
