He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ruth Black Davis; his parents, John Davis and Nellie Briggs Davis; his children, Phillip Davis (Donna Kay) of Marion, Wayne Davis (Donna Lynn) of Marion and Vickie Davis Biggerstaff (Michael) of Spruce Pine; his siblings, Betty Jean Hunt, Patsy Clark (Eugene), Lester Davis (Delores) of Old Fort and Jerry Davis of Marion; his granddaughters, Dr. Melody Wrench (Ben) and Laura Pittman (Jeff); and his great grandchild Brantley Wayne Pittman. He was also cherished by his wife, children and grandchildren.
