He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Robert Fowler and Fannie Fulk Fowler; and his siblings, Dr. William Robert Fowler, Samuel Oliver Fowler and Julia Fowler Reshoft.
He is survived by: his wife Rachel Hoyle Fowler; and his daughter Rachel Anne Fowler. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
