She was predeceased by: her parents, Alonzo "Buster" Jenkins and Evelyn Fender Jenkins; her parents-in-law, Viola Briggs and Rev. David Briggs; and her brother-in-law Butch Nunnally.
She is survived by: her husband Matthew Briggs; her siblings, Louis Jenkins (Debbie) and Shirley J. Waldrop (Joe); her brother-in-law Charles Briggs (Barbara); her nieces and nephews, Lindy Jenkins, Caylea Jenkins, Crystal Allison, Cheryl Allison Birch (Jesse), Jeffrey Nunnally (Tonia), Shawn Nunnally, Amy Briggs Band (Phillip) and Leighann Briggs Ayers (Jeff); and her great-nephews, Ian Briggs Gilliam, Kellen Lindsay, Darren Jones, Michael Jones and Dylan Jones. She is also survived by many loving friends and cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family request any donations be made to the McDowell County Senior Center at 100 Spaulding Road, Marion, North Carolina 28752 or a charity of your choice in her memory.
