He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Hazel Cauthen and Cordelia Lee Gibbs Cauthen; and his siblings, Kathy Cauthen and Stan Cauthen. He is survived by: his son David Cauthen (Jayme); his siblings, J. W. "Bill" Cauthen, Steve Cauthen (Renee) and Pat Baker (J. D.); his grandson Nathaniel Cauthen (Brittney); and his great grandchild Gus Cauthen.
