She was predeceased by: her parents, Doris Emerson Townsend and Fred Hughes; her stepmother Title Hughes; and her husband Kenneth Lee Ward, Sr.. She is survived by: her sister Janine Cornell (Mark); her son Kenneth Ward, Jr. (Tammy); her grandsons, Kenneth Ward III, Joshua Angel (Anna) and Jacob Angel (Sandra); and her great grandchild Adeline.

Flowers are appreciated and accepted; in lieu of flowers, donations to Mercy Fund Animal Rescue at PO Box 2371, Marion, NC, 28752 are requested.
