She was predeceased by: her parents, Emery Vess and Lee Davis Vess; and her brother Raymond Vess. She is survived by: her husband Bill McPeters; her children, Kay Scott (Danny) of Morganton, Bobby McPeters (Teresa) of Old Fort, Dena Peterson (Marty) of Morganton and Ronnie McPeters of Morganton; her sisters, Wanda Earley (Harvey) of Old Fort and Roberta Fisher (Doug) of Greer, S. C.; and her grandchildren, Julia Carpenter, Erin Peterson, Ashley Schoenen, Kala Mashburn, Kasey Scott, Robbie McPeters, Noah McPeters, Samantha Jordan, Nelson Nye, Isaiah McPeters, Emma McPeters and Michael McPeters.
