He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edwards Lane, Sr. and Margaret Brock; and his wife Chalor Lane. He is survived by: his children, James Edward Lane, III, Pamela Lane Lee and Lisa Scruggs (Edward Scruggs, IV); his stepsons, Bobby Cromer (Tiffanie) and Tony Cromer; and his siblings, Sandy Barnett and Keith Lane.
