He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucian Richard Swofford (Dick) and Hattie Mae Fortner. He is survived by: his siblings, Everett Swofford, Ruth Armilda Rose, Lindol Blann Swofford, Helen Lucille McKinney, Irene Jo Clark, Mary "Susie" Rogers, Clara Cordell, Barbara Blankenship and Dexter Swofford (Doris); his sister-in-law Inge Swofford; his daughter Donna Schrum (Gary) of Sherrills Ford; and his grandchildren, Matthew Johnson (Genia), Ryan Hollifield, Nathan Hollifield, Andy Pendley (Neui), John Pendley (Jacqui), Josh Pendley (Brook), Chad McPeters (Valerie), Melissa Dean, Graham Brown, Robert Sanders (Brienna), Stacey Terry (Forrester) and Alex Painter (Abby). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
