He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles "Bud" Cable and Betty Cable (White); and his siblings-in-law, Roger Green and Kimberly Pruitt. He is survived by: his wife Diana Cable (Pruitt); his grandchildren, Sheree Cable of Morganton, NC, Jessica Stanley (Merl) of Morganton, NC, Melissa Petropoulos (Robert) of Ocala, FL, Jason Brandt (Michelle) of Findlay, OH and Jaime Burke (Jeremy) of Goodrich, TX; his sisters, Marian Green (late Roger) of Jackson, OH and Vyjean Young (Jan) of Republic, OH; and his sister-in-law Karen Pruitt of Mount Holly, NC. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials can be directed to a charity of their choosing in his name or to the family in care of the funeral home.
