It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnny Godfrey Jr. of Marion, North Carolina, who passed away on November 18, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Godfrey and Bertha Caldwell Godfrey; his grandson Joshua Dale Godfrey; his daughter-in-law Missy Godfrey; and his siblings, Betty Kanipe, Donald Godfrey and Patricia Loftis.
He is survived by: his sons, Keith Godfrey, Robert Godfrey, Johnny Godfrey (Rachel) and Chris Godfrey (Sandy); his siblings, Barbara Smith and Jimmy Godfrey; his grandchildren, Chelsea Shambley, Michael McCurry and Hope Bland; and his nephew Derek Smith (Arley). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
