She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathaniel Owens and Ophelia Swepson Martin Owens; and her brother Clarence M. Martin. She is survived by: her close friend Kiffin Rockwell; and her siblings, Billy Martin (Connie) and Rosa Okeke. She is also survived by niece.
