She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Alexander Hager and Nell Long Bowman; her husband Robert James "Bob" Elkins; her daughter Dianne Miller; her grandson Robert; and her great grandchildren, Caleb, Bryce and Bella.
She is survived by: her children, John M. Elkins (Barbara) of Winder, GA, Terry L. Elkins (Eileen) of Houston, TX, Jody R. Elkins (Kim) of Nebo, NC, Thomas D. Elkins of Atlanta, GA and Sandy Terry (Roland) of Durham, NC; and her sister Katherine Byrd (Roger) of Winter Springs, FL..
