She was predeceased by: her father James Suttles; her husband Jay Gardin; her sister Fairah Hollifield; her nephew Timothy Hollifield; her parents-in-law, Vernie Gardin and Arthur Gardin; and her sisters-in-law, Lucille Gardin and Patsy Suttles.
She is survived by: her daughter Cathy Cornett; her granddaughters, Summer Calloway (Kelly) and Jordan McMahan (Justin); her great grandchildren, Kallie Arnold (Dylan), Cora Calloway and Vera Calloway; her brother Jay "J. E." Suttles; and her brothers-in-law, Tommy Hollifield and Jerry Gardin (Debbie).
