We are sad to announce that on January 9, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Mattie Whitney (Marion, North Carolina). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Squib Grindstaff and Buena Grindstaff; her husband Charles Edward Whitney; and her daughter Mary Pitman. She is survived by: her daughter Brenda Sutllemyre (Phil) of Hickory; and her sister Ethel Young. She is also survived by five grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hicks Chapel Baptist Church 6008 US 221 Marion, NC 28752.
