He was predeceased by: his parents, Miller Wood and Nettie Owensby Wood; his former wife Juanita Brown Wood; his wife Frances Presley Wood; and his daughter Karen Elaine Wood.
He is survived by: his close friend Margaret White; his daughters, Phyllis Kay Wood Simmons (Johnny) and Katheryn Lynn Wood Dalton (Ronnie); and his grandchildren, Erika Lynn Dalton Hawk (Keith), Tera Nichole Brown and Jason Michael Brown. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
