It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Monroe Hollifield (Marion, North Carolina), who passed away on January 23, 2022, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Pfc. He is survived by: his niece Tonya Marie Edwards; his nephew Matthew Evan Edwards; his sister Vangie Peek; his wife Susan Lynn Hollifield; his siblings, Carrie Daniels (David), Debra Edwards (Danny), Geraldene "Jeri" Holley (Mark) and Josh Hollifield; and his nieces and nephews, Denisa Conley, David "Pudge" Daniels, Brian Hollifield, Alan Hollifield, Travis Hollifield, Vanna Abernathy and Kala Abernathy. He is also survived by many great nieces and nephews with one great-great nephew.
