With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ray Cordell (Marion, North Carolina), who passed away on September 5, 2019 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Vina Parkins Slick; his stepfather Galen Slick; his former wife Betty Hall Cordell; and his son Steve Cordell. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Wise Cordell; his daughters, Lynn Schuster of Kernersville and Robin Bradley (Keith) of Marion; his stepchildren, Libby Tate (Bo Loftis) of Marion, Susan Harris of Marion, Shannon Wise (Darrin Myers) of Marion and Scott Wise (Penny) of Nebo; his siblings, JoAnn Slick Bumgarner (John) of Marion and Glenn Slick (Cathy) of Marion; his grandchildren, Julie Blanchfield of Stokesdale, Jason Wright of Marion, Sarah Smith of Reidsville, Nicolas Cordell of Marion, Crystal Fortune of Marion, Nicki Bradley Payne (Tripp) of Clemmons, Allen Keith Bradley of Marion, Emily Bradley of Los Angeles, Heather Wallace (Matt) of Marion and Oakley Sparks of Marion; and his close friends, Gracie Ferguson of Marion and John Lewis of Marion. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
