He was predeceased by: his parents, John Burleson and Texie Queen Burleson. He is survived by: his wife Velma Williams Burleson; his children, Gloria Hollifield (Jim), Glenda Montgomery (Tom) and Richard Burleson, Jr. (Tracy); his siblings, Hortense Biddix and Bill Burleson (Linda); his grandchildren, Courtney Hollifield-Parelli (James) and Cameron Burleson; and his great grandchild Parker Parelli.
