He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Hicks and Dolores Boyd Hicks. He is survived by: his siblings, Teresa Fulwiler (Jim), Robert Hicks (Debbe), Joe Hicks (Bonnie), Matthew Hicks and Mark Hicks; and his grandson Clay Owenby. He is also survived by six nieces; and five nephews.
