He is survived by: his daughter Janet Atkinson of Fredericksburg, VA; his brothers, Donald Woody of Marion and Jim Woody of Lincolnton; and his close friend Ruth Carpenter of Marion. He is also survived by two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
