He was predeceased by: his mother Lucille Lewis; his son Rex Everett Lewis; and his grandsons, Robert David Shelton and Jeffrey S. Nelson. He is survived by: his former wife Betty Lee McGee Lewis; and his wife Ernestine Daniels Lewis.
