He was predeceased by: his mother Julia Moore Hooper; his son William Douglas Moore, Jr.; and his brothers, Benny Moore and James Hooper. He is survived by: his wife Vergie Green Moore; his sons, Dewayne Moore, Sr., Bradford Moore (Charlene) and James Moore (Lisa); his siblings, Margaret Peterson of Asheville, Della McKesson of Marion, Roberta Long (William) of Glen Alpine, Arthur Hooper (Virginia) of Marion, Robert Hooper (Detra) of Marion and Walter Hooper of Marion; and his aunt Joyce M. Pertiller of Black Mountain. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, 2 sister-in-laws and relatives and friends.
