He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Crooks and Virginia Crooks. He is survived by: his wife June Crooks; his sister Lona McIntosh; his daughters, Terri Hodges (Tom) and Tammy Stegall (Marley); his grandchildren, Logan Fontana (Brittany), Jacob Stegall, MacKenzie Stegall and Benjamin Kissinger; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Schwone, Shirley Corson and Dennis Schwone (Karen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Foundation.
