He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Oxendine and Lucy Tyler Oxendine; his wife Allie Byrd Oxendine; his brothers, Robert Lee Oxendine, Hallman Oxendine and James Earl Oxendine; his grandson Brandon Mercer; and his sisters, Dorothy Locklear, Willow Dean Strickland and Muriel Oxendine.
He is survived by: his children, Carlton Ray Oxendine, Ronald Dean Oxendine, Darcy Oxendine and Lynda Locklear; and his sisters, Nellie Hunt and Betty Brooks. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
