She was predeceased by: her parents, Wardell Jones and Armon Oxendine Jones of Robeson County; her husband Rufus Cummins, Jr.; her son Ricky Cummings; her grandson Ricky Cummings; and her siblings, Varcey Jones, Winford Jones, James Jones, Vernell Jones, Ella McCormick and Pauline Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Alford Cummings, Jr. (Joyce), Tony Cummings (Tresia), Gregory "Greg" Cummings (Anita) and Sarah Strickland (Randall Strickland). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews.
