She was predeceased by: her mother Annie Ruth Locklear; her husband Roy Deese; her stepfather Winford Locklear; and her great grandchild Kate Inez Deese. She is survived by: her children, Ronald Lee Deese of Maxton, Roy Deese of Maxton, Evelene Deese of Pembroke and Darlene Deese of Lumberton; her siblings, Pernell Locklear of Pembroke, Vernell Locklear of Pembroke, Rudolph Locklear of Cheraw and Emma Locklear of Pembroke; and her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Elane, Kenneth, Justin, Watesha, John David, Ursula, James, Sierra and Santos (Tater). She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
