It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sallie Chambers (Maxton, North Carolina), who passed away on May 11, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Nora Carter, Joyce Rotan, Elzenia Blakes, Mamie Williams, Sallie Ann Dickerson, Robert Chambers and John H. Chambers; and her sister Thelma Lewis.
