He is survived by: his children, Joseph Cardwell (Anne) of Clemmons, Deanna Haines (Zebulon) of Winston Salem and Jessica Cardwell of Stokesdale; his siblings, Dawn Clark and Dannie Cardwell; his grandchildren, Pierson, Lochston, Brighton Cardwell, Adaline Haines and Kaidyn Cardwell; and his child Kathy Cardwell.
