He was predeceased by : his parents, Dewey McGee and Lala Powers McGee; and his wife Dorothy "Dot" McGee. He is survived by : his children, Elizabeth "Libby" Hilliard (Howard Shoe) of McLeansville and Leo Snow of Greensboro; and his brother Leon McGee (Karen) of Stokesdale. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family has requested that all visitors wear masks during the visitation.
