He is survived by : his great grandchild Jesus; his sister Patti Merrington (Linnie) of Concord, NC; his children, Leigh Ann Benlian (JP) of France, Chuck Abernethy (Vickie) and Mecca Cross (Larry); his grandchildren, Brannon J Walters (Kaity) and Megan Houghtaling (Rodney); and his great grandchildren, Olyvia Walters, Kaydence Johnson and Alexis Johnson.
