He was predeceased by : his parents, John Cason Kitchens, Sr. and Katie Myra McCarty Kitchens; and his sister Patricia Kitchens Daniel. He is survived by : his wife Dawn Livingston Kitchens; his children, Stephanie Kitchens Shirey (Chris) of Monroe and Jonathon David Kitchens, Jr. (Chelsea) of Statesville; his brothers, John Cason Kitchens, Jr. (Phyllis) of Raleigh and Paul Campbell Kitchens (Diane) of Weddington; and his grandchildren, Ryan, Sarah, Noah and Graham.
