Laura Juanita Poplin Untz Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura Juanita Poplin Untz of Midland, North Carolina, who passed away on June 13, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert M. Poplin and Mildred Harwell Poplin; and her brothers, Richard, Lloyd, Dempsey, Branson, J. Hue, Dillard, Paul, J. E. and Don.
She is survived by: her daughters, Anita Phillips (Randy) and Sheila DeArmon (James); and her grandchildren, Sarah (Sheila), Austin (Anita) and Alex (Anita).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church (1600 W Mallard Creek Church Rd, Charlotte, NC 28262). A reception will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the North Carolina Autism Society (https://www.autismsociety-nc.org) or the Shriners Hospital.
