She was predeceased by: her parents, William Gassaway Winterson and Catherine Josephine Ball Winterson of John's Catholic Church; and her sisters, Loretta Rogers and Judith "Judy" Bain. She is survived by: her son Joe Rankin (Sandra) of Wilkesboro; her granddaughter Ashley Rankin Smith (Eric) of Millers Creek; and her sister Catherine "Kay" Landry (Richard) of Gastonia.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Salle Catholic Church (275 C C Wright School Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659).
