It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnny Canupp (Minneapolis, North Carolina), born in Granite Falls, North Carolina, who passed away on December 30, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Luther Monrow Canupp (Corrinne Turnmyre Canupp); his former wife Carolyn Hope Burleson Canupp; and his siblings, Faye Craig, Kathryn Whisnant, Ramona Wilson, Sarah Warlick and Harry Teague.
He is survived by: his sons, John Clifton Canupp (Lesley Hughes Canupp) of Minneapolis, NC and Phillip Mark Canupp of Leesburg, FL; his grandsons, John Michael Canupp (Sarah Elizabeth Ormand) of Asheville, NC, Milton James Canupp and Kelsey Ogata of Candler, NC; his cousin Roger Mabry, Sr. (Donna Mabry); his wife Connie; and also, Michelle Smith, Melissa McLean, Roger Mabry, Jr. and John.
