She was predeceased by: her husband James Lloyd Connell; and her parents, Ernest Clark Thompson of Mint Hill and Minnie Cochrane Thompson of Mint Hill. She is survived by: her children, Wanda Connell Parks and Darrell Connell of Mint Hill; and her grandchildren, Angela Parks Gibson, Jennifer Parks Henderson, Alison Parks Carroll, David Parks, Jeremiah Connell, Aaron Connell Swanson, Caleb Connell and Hannah Connell. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideons International for the sharing of Bibles around the World.
