He was predeceased by: his parents, James Richard (J. R.) and Lessie Cochrane Mullis. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his daughters, Rhonda Hallam (Scott) and Angela Johnson (Stephen); his sisters, Faydeen Wilson and Becky Little; and his grandchildren, Jessica Mudd, Brielyn Hallam, Natalie Johnson and Landon Johnson.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region.
