She is survived by: her husband Robert Atkins; her daughters, Janet Orr (David) and Amy Cooke (Brian) of Indian Trail; her granddaughter Emily Conder of Mint Hill; her stepgrandson Brian Cooke of Greensboro; and her pets, Sparkle and CeCe.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Brenda's name may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1900.
