With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn Alice Castles (Mint Hill, North Carolina), born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 23, 2021 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Cook and Ethel Cook; her husband John S. Castles, Sr.; and her brother William Cook. She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Daley of Red Hook, NY, Gail Cobb (Kent) of Waxhaw, NC, John Castles, Jr. of Charlotte, NC and Joyce Widener (Randy) of Unionville, NC.. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sardis Presbyterian Church, 6100 Sardis Road, Charlotte, NC 28270.
